Environmental Law

Turkey's environmental policy in general aims to protect the natural environment and resources for future Turkish generations.  As a result companies operating in the natural resources sector are expexted to work inline with these policies to enable them to operate and develop resources sustainably.  Regulations include water pollution control, air quality, environmental impact assesment, waste, noise and the control of potentially hazardous materials.

In 2010 a new mining law was passed, included in which were regulatory changes to existing environmental law within the context of mining and exploration of natural resources in Turkey.  For further information on all aspects of mining and environmental law please click here
